A Finished Prototype
I started this project for a game jam that I ,after seeing the limitation, never joined. Thought it would be fun to do something for Halloween so I continued working on this while not really having a good idea of what to make out of it. I went through a couple of different iterations. Instead of stopping working on it when I should have I was determined to have something to show before Halloween, which did give me a good deadline to work within.
What I did wrong however was that I focused way too much on making the game look nice rather than spend more time prototyping to make it fun. Because of this, as well as the upcoming deadline I had a hard time to enjoy the process of making the game. In the end what did became of it I do see some potential in. Some things I could add if I were to keep working on this:
- A timer for each ghost so you have to hurry up and give them candy
- Different type of candy located on different parts so you actually have to move around more than you do currently
- Maybe have the bowls move around in some way
- Some kind of reward for getting the ghosts their candy in time
- Combos - Give more incentive to be faster and more efficient
Hallow-boo-een
Give ghosts in human costumes candy
